Susan Spann is the Contracts Manager for Donaghy Literary Group.
Susan is a California attorney whose practice focuses on business and publishing law. She founded and curates the Twitter hashtag #PubLaw, where she provides information about the publishing business and legal issues for writers and at all stages of a publishing career.
Susan also writes the Hiro Hattori Novels (Shinobi Mysteries) featuring ninja detective Hiro Hattori and his Portuguese Jesuit sidekick, Father Mateo. Her fourth mystery, The Ninja’s Daughter (Seventh Street Books), released in August 2016.
She has a degree in Asian Studies from Tufts University and a J.D. from the New England School of Law (with a visiting year at UCLA Law School). When not writing or practicing law, Susan enjoys cooking, traditional archery, reading, and raising seahorses and rare corals. She lives near Sacramento, California with her husband, two spoiled cats, and an aquarium full of distracting creatures.
